Instagram down: In the early hours of Thursday morning, thousands of users around the world were unable to access Instagram due to a service outage, as reported by Downdetector.com.
The social networking platform owned by Meta Inc. experienced a massive outage that affected more than 45,000 users, according to the website that tracks outages of various services.
According to Reuters, Downdetector, which collects data from multiple sources, revealed that at least 2,000 users based in the United Kingdom were affected (based on reports). In addition, over 1,000 reports came from India and Australia.

Instagram was unable to load content, including posts from the feed and “stories.” Many users reported seeing messages saying the feed could not refresh or that posts could not be loaded.
Nearly 85% of users experienced problems with the app platform mobile while about 11% had difficulty accessing Instagram.com on the web.

According to Downdetector.com, nearly 4% of those who reported outages had difficulty connecting to the platform.
Reports of the outage began at around 1:30 a.m. GMT and peaked over the next hour. Gradually, reports began to decline.
Several users around the world took to Twitter to protest the Instagram outage, using the hashtag #Instagramddown.
However, many others reported that they did not experience any problems and were able to access Instagram normally during the outage.

"Earlier tonight, a technical issue caused people to have trouble accessing Instagram. We resolved this issue for everyone as quickly as possible," Instagram said in a tweet.
No one likes to experience an unexpected outage, but luckily the platform was back up and running soon!
Last month, the popular platform experienced another outage that prevented users from creating new posts or stories.
