Headquartered in Tokyo, the two Japanese companies Sony and Honda announced last year their collaboration to develop and manufacture electric cars (EVs) – today the brand name of this collaboration was revealed and it is Afeela.

In a presentation during the CES(Consumer Electronics Show), Sony Honda Mobility CEO Yasuhide Mizuno revealed a prototype of the company's first Afeela car.
It looked more like a mid-size sedan, but few details were revealed about it.
In his speech, he said that the car will be available for pre-orders or even for purchase in 2025, but he informed that the first deliveries of the car to be made in North America will not take place before 2026.
The car will be built at one of Honda's factories.
Mizuno constantly talked about how much he cares about "feeling", saying that the emphasis will be on interaction with people. The car will feature safety and driver assistance systems from Honda, combining it with entertainment systems and interactive features from Sony.
A lot of attention was paid during the development of the car, both in software and in user interface technology.
However, neither driving dynamics nor performance were neglected, as Mizuno tells us.

A narrow external display, which the company calls a media bar, will sit above the car's front bumper. This will allow the vehicle to display information and interact with people outside the vehicle.
Inside, the company is working with 3D graphics company Unreal Engine from Epic Games, the company that makes Fortnite, to design the vehicle's interfaces.
Unreal Engine technology has been used by other car brands, including General Motors, which used the technology in its Hummer EV.
Mizuno also took pride in talking about the 45 cameras and sensors inside and outside the vehicle, some of which are used to help the car recognize the driver's condition to ensure alertness and safety.
