Microsoft Outlook email client is crashing when opening and reading Uber receipt emails.

“When you open, reply to, or forward certain emails that include complex tables, Outlook stops responding,” the company explains in a support document.
To make matters worse, emails with the same contents will also cause the Microsoft Word to stop responding.
While the known issue affects Microsoft 365 customers on Current Channel version 2206 build 15330.20196 and later, it can also trigger a malfunction in current Beta and Current Channel Preview builds.
The Microsoft Word team has already developed a fix that will be released soon to Beta channel customers, after verification.
Microsoft added that customers using versions of Outlook on Current Channel will receive the fix as part of this month's patch update, on August 9, 2022.
For customers who cannot wait until the fix begins rolling out, Microsoft providing a workaround that requires them to roll back to a version that is not affected by this known issue.

To roll back your Office to an earlier version as a workaround for this issue, you will need to follow these steps:
Open a command line in an administrator environment
Type or paste the two commands into the command line window and press Enter after each one.
cd %programfiles%\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\ClickToRun
officec2rclient.exe /update user updatetoversion=16.0.15225.20288
Last month, Microsoft addressed another issue in Outlook Search, which was not displaying recent emails on Windows 11 in desktop apps.
The only customers affected were those using POP, IMAP, and offline Exchange that use the local Windows Search service for email indexing.

In January, the company also fixed Outlook search issues caused by Windows 10 released in November 2021 and later.
In December, users also experienced search issues in Outlook for Microsoft 365, Outlook 2019, and Outlook 2016 after upgrading to Windows 11.
