Microsoft Defender Experts for Hunting , a new managed security service for Microsoft 365 Defender customers , is now available to everyone.

Defender Experts for Hunting, which was originally announced in May, is aimed at businesses that already have Security Operations Centers (SOCs) but are also willing to pay for additional help hunting for threats across endpoints, Office 365, cloud , and identity.
Microsoft security experts will use Defender data to investigate threats and provide customers with remediation guidance, as well as help deploy threat scanning across all Microsoft 365 Defender products within hours, according to the company.
This new managed service helps an organization's SecOps specialists ensure that critical threats in their environment are not missed.
Defender Experts for Hunting adds multiple features, including:
Threat Hunting and Analysis – Defender Experts for Hunting digs deeper to expose advanced threats and determine the scope and impact of malicious activity related to human adversaries or practical keyboard attacks.
Defender Expert Alerts – Alerts appear as events in Microsoft 365 Defender, helping to improve your security operations’ incident response with specific information about scope, input method, and remediation instructions.

Experts on Demand – Select Ask Defender Experts in the Microsoft 365 Defender portal to get expert advice on the threats your organization faces. You can request help for specific incidents, nation-state actors, or alerts related to attack.
Artificial Intelligence – Defender Experts for Hunting shares its knowledge on automated tools used for improved threat discovery and prioritization.
Reports – An interactive report summarizing what we hunted and what we found.
Defender Experts for Hunting is part of a series of three new managed services introduced under the Microsoft Security Experts.
The other two services announced in May are Microsoft Defender Experts for XDR for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) looking to expand the capacity of their SOCs, and Microsoft Security Services for Enterprise, which combines proactive threat hunting and managed XDR into a single service for large enterprises.
While Defender Experts for XDR will go into preview in fall 2022, Microsoft Security Services for Enterprise is already available through a custom statement of work.

As Microsoft explains, Defender Experts for Hunting is sold separately from other Microsoft 365 Defender products, and you will need to fill out the special form if you are customer interested in purchasing.
