Nintendo Switch System Update (Version 14.1.2) released!
The Nintendo Switch hardware has received its first new update in almost two months, bringing it to version 14.1.2. All Switch users can download it.

For now, Nintendo hasn't gone into further detail about what players can expect from the new version, but if there's anything major, we'll likely find out in the near future. Nintendo states on its official website: "General system stability improvements to improve the user experience."
Update 14.1.1 was released in April, and the patch notes were the same as today. Before that, we saw version 14.1.0 the same month. This wasn't much of a big deal, although it did add a new "Platinum Points Notification Settings" option that gives users a notification about unclaimed points as part of the My Nintendo rewards program

Nintendo released the last major firmware update for the Switch in March, which was version 14.0.0. It came with groups so users could more easily sort software in the home menu , as well as changes to Bluetooth volume behavior . More information about this update can be found here .
Those looking to download the 14.1.2 update for Switch can force the download to install now by going to system settings, scrolling down to the “System” tab, and tapping the “System Update” button. For everyone else, it should eventually download on its own.
