TikTok will help you stop infinite scrolling! TikTok addicts will be able to further limit their time on the app, the company said, with a pair of new screen time settings coming to the service soon.
TikTok is adding a series of new features designed to stop you from endlessly scrolling, the service announced. A new tool will display a reminder after you’ve used the app for a user-defined period of time, adding a new safeguard to existing daily limits. Teen users (aged 13 to 17) will be prompted to use the screen time limit if they spend more than 100 minutes on the app in a single day.

TikTok’s new features follow the addition of similar tools to other apps like Instagram and Netflix that are designed to help users manage the time they spend on them. Apple and Google also allow app limits on iOS and Android. They are useful additions for services whose advertising-based business models can incentivize maximizing user attention.
