NASA scientists are planning to send images of naked people into space in the hope of luring aliens and achieving possible communication with them.
The illustrations will also include a call for a response, in case an intelligent alien race finds the images.
In fact, it won't be regular photos of naked people being sent into space. It's a drawing/painting showing the naked bodies of a man and a woman, and there's also a depiction of DNA.

The man and woman smile and greet each other in an attempt to appear more friendly and welcoming.
NASA scientists revealed the image in a study that is part of a project called “ Beacon in the Galaxy ” (BITG). The main goal of the BITG project is to send a message to alien civilizationsthat may be out there.
Scientists believe that the image of naked people (man and woman) greeting each other could help us finally make contact with aliens, if they exist.

Along with nude figures and the depiction of DNA, scientists also attempted to depict gravity.
All of this combines to create a binary-coded message that can be sent into space. Scientists believe that such a message is more likely to be understood by aliens.

The scientists explain in their study: “The concept of mathematics in human terms is potentially unrecognizable to extraterrestrial intelligence, but the binary system is likely to be understood by everyone. The binary system is the simplest form of mathematics as it involves only two opposite states: zero and one, yes or no, black or white, mass or empty space.”
The scientists also said: “The proposed message includes basic concepts of mathematics and physics to establish a universal means of communication followed by information on the biochemical composition of life on Earth, the position of the Solar System in the Galaxy in relation to known globular star clusters, as well as digital depictions of the Solar System and the surface of the Earth.”
However, sending images of naked people into space to communicate with aliens is definitely the most interesting part, although the idea is not new. The images sent into space on the Pioneer 10 and Pioneer 11 in 1972 and 1973, respectively, also contained drawings of naked people.

The depictions, known as Pioneer plaques, are attached to the antennas of the spacecraft, which still fly far from Earth to this day. The Pioneer 10 probe sent its last signal to Earth in January 2003 from 7.6 billion miles away – far beyond the limits of our solar system.
Scientists have been trying for years to communicate with aliens but have failed. And while many are in favor of such communication, there are other experts who are skeptical, as they fear that aliens, if they exist, may not be friendly. It has also been said that the method of communication is very important, because there is a possibility that attempts to reach out can be misinterpreted.
