Are there really aliens, and if so, would their approach be a good idea for humanity and Earth? The Pentagon has leaked video showing unidentified aerial phenomena observed by the US Navy. Scientists involved in the search for other civilizations have different opinions on whether possible communication with extraterrestrials would be a good idea.

American physicist Mark Buchanan reported that attempts are being made to communicate with extraterrestrial civilizations despite the risk.
Buchanan is among the scientists who believe that extraterrestrial beings could be a superior race and any contact with them could be devastating to humans.

“The attempt to communicate with extraterrestrials, if they indeed exist, could be extremely dangerous for us“.
Buchanan is not alone in his thoughts. Joe Gert, an astronomer at the Search for ExtraTerrestrial Intelligence (SETI) organization, agrees with Buchanan, stating that all our attempts to communicate with aliens could ultimately “endanger all of humanity.”
SETI is an organization in California that has been observing the universe with radio telescopes for 60 years, hoping to hear any signals from a planet orbiting stars other than our sun.
According to Buchanan, other scientists are eager to communicate with aliens and want to send messages into space to reach other life forms.
Buchanan, however, fears that a mistake could be made in the attempt to communicate, which could affect the entire Earth.
“This is because the aliens we encounter may ultimately be much more advanced than us technologically,” he writes.
Buchanan claims that we are at a stage of technological complexity that requires strict regulation of all these alien operations at national and international levels.
There are several theories as to why Earth hasn't already communicated with aliens. Buchanan argues for the most alarming one: that alien civilizations know how dangerous it is to send messages and are smart enough to remain silent.

On the other hand, scientists who want communication support another theory. American astrobiologist Douglas Vakoch estimates that any advanced civilizations would have detected our radio signals by now and would have already attacked if that was their intention.
