If you want to change the name on your Google account , you can do it very easily. The change is possible from your computer as well as from Android, iPhone and iPad. See the process below.
Please note: Changing your Google account name is different from changing your Gmail display name. Google allows you to change your account name as many times as you want.

Desktop: How to change Google account name?
If you're using Windows, Mac, Linux, or Chromebook, use the Google Account site to change your account name.
- Open a browser and then go to the Google Account site. There, sign in to your account.
- After logging in, in the left sidebar of the site, click on “Personal Info”.
- On the right, in the “Basic Info” section, click on the name of your current account.
- At this point you can change the name of your Google account. Click on the “First Name” field and type your new name. Then, select the “Last Name” field to type your new last name.
- After making the changes, click “Save” to save your changes.
Your account name has changed and you will now see it across various Google services.

Android: How to change Google account name?
To change your account name from Android phone, open the Settings app.
- Scroll down and tap “Google.”
- On your Google profile page, under your name, click “Manage Your Google Account.”
- At the top, select the “Personal Info” tab.
- From the “Basic Info” section, select your current name.
- On the “ Name ” page , your name fields will appear. Select the “ First Name ” field and type your new name. In the “ Last Name ” field, type your new last name.
- Then, select “Save”.
That's it! Your Google account name has changed!

iPhone/iPad: How to change Google account name?
To make the change on iPhone or iPad , use the Gmail app.
- Open Gmail on your device. In the top left corner of the app, tap the menu with the three horizontal lines.
- In the menu that opens, select “Settings”.
- Then, tap Google account.
- Select “Manage Your Google Account”.
- Below your name, tap the “Personal Info” tab.
- From the “Basic Info” section, select your current name.
- Tap the “First Name” field and type your new first name. Tap the “Last Name” field and type your new last name.
- Once you have made the changes, click “Save”.
Your new name will appear across all Google services.
