Steam will now display the size of a game before it is installed

Valve is starting to let Steam users see the size of a game before they attempt to install it. Game library pages will finally list the total space required for a game, without you having to first click on the install to see disk space details and estimated download time. It's a small change that's rolling out as part of a beta update to Steam this week, meaning it'll be rolling out to all users in the coming weeks.

The change comes after Valve updated the downloads page in September to make it much more informative. The overhaul included an improved section for managing storage, as well as displaying more details about download and installation progress.
