With CES 2022 kicking off, HP announced a new Envy desktop PC for 2022, promising top performance and easily upgradable design. Additionally, HP also announced a pair of monitors with built-in web cameras to help families and friends stay in touch remotely.

Starting with the HP Envy 2022 desktop PC, the latest model features Intel's 12th-generation Alder Lake desktop processors, from a Core i5-12400 to an Intel Core i9-12900K with 16 cores (eight high-performance, eight efficiency) and speeds up to 5.2 GHz. You can choose between 65W (non-K) processor models or high-power 125W versions of the Core i5, Core i7, or Core i9, depending on your needs. You can also get the latest and greatest NVIDIA graphics with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti with 12 GB of GDDR6X memory, which means you can practically use it for gaming. If you're an AMD fan, you can also get up to a Radeon RX 6700XT graphics card with 12 GB of GDDR6 memory.
It's not just that, as you can get up to 128 GB of RAM memory, although it's DDR4 memory and not DDR5 yet. Additionally, you have up to a 1 TB SSD and a 2 TB hard drive for storage.

For connectivity, the new HP Envy desktop (2022) features many ports including easily accessible USB ports, a headphone jack and an SD card reader on the top, as well as a large array of ports, including Thunderbolt 4 and four video outputs (one HDMI and three DisplayPort) on the back. It also supports Wi‑Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 for wireless connections.
As for the new webcam monitors, we have the new HP M24 and M27 models. The main feature of these monitors is that they include a built-in 5 MP high-resolution webcam, which means you can make calls with friends and family and look as sharp as ever. It can be great for distance learning or work meetings that you may need to attend if you are working from home. The monitor connects using a single USB Type-C connection, so both the monitor and the camera can be easily connected to your computer or laptop. They also support power delivery, so you don't need a separate cable to charge your laptop while you are connected.

Aside from the web camera, these are fairly standard monitors. They include an IPS Full HD (1920 x 1080) screen with a refresh rate up to 75 Hz and AMD FreeSync support. There are two built-in speakers for audio and two microphones to record your voice during calls. The two monitors are essentially identical except for size, with one having a 23.8‑inch screen and the other featuring a 27‑inch panel, as the names suggest.
For connectivity, the HP M24 and M27 monitors include two USB Type-A ports and an audio-out port so you can connect devices directly to the display. It also comes with an HDMI and DisplayPort support, so if you don't have a USB Type-C cable, you can still use the display as a standard monitor.
The HP M24 and M27 web camera screens will be available in HP's online store in early January, so you will be able to find them soon. They will cost $319.99 and $359.99, respectively.
In the meantime, the HP Envy Desktop 2022 model will be released sometime this spring on HP's website and other retailers. Pricing has not yet been disclosed, so we will have to wait until it launches to learn more.
