GM has officially begun delivering the first Hummer EV Edition 1 to customers , according to a press release on the company's website. Built on the Ultium platform, the Hummer EV Edition 1 model comes in at $110,295, with up to 1,000 horsepower, 11,500 lb-ft of torque and an estimated range of 329 miles.

Unique features of the vehicle include “CrabWalk,” a feature that allows the truck to drive diagonally at low speeds by turning the rear and front wheels at the same angle. Another feature raises the truck’s suspension height by six inches, potentially allowing the truck to climb large rocks or wade through water when off-roading. GM says this feature won’t come with 2022 Edition 1 models, but will be available via a free software update and will be standard on all models produced from 2023 onwards.
The Hummer EV Edition 1 also features a performance setting that lets you tap into the full power of the electric propulsion system, which GM claims can send the vehicle from zero to 60 in about three seconds. It also comes with Super Cruise, giving you a hands-free driving experience and allowing for automatic lane changes on compatible roads. Super Cruise was temporarily discontinued on the 2022 Cadillac Escalade due to a chip shortage, but the Edition 1 doesn't appear to be affected.

The Hummer EV Edition 1 model has since sold out, but there are other trims still available for pre-order. The Hummer EV 3X is set to be available in the fall of next year and will cost $99,995. It will come with an estimated range of over 300 miles and three motors capable of producing 830 horsepower and up to 11,500 lb-ft of torque.
Meanwhile, the 625-horsepower Hummer EV 2X, which will cost $89,995, comes with two motors and will be available in spring 2023. It will get about 300 miles on a single charge and produce 7,400 lb-ft of torque. Finally, the cheaper model, the Hummer EV 2, also has two motors and features the same 625 horsepower. The company first unveiled the electric Hummer late last year. The first of its kind sold for $2.5 million at an auction in March, with all proceeds going to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, a charity that helps wounded veterans. GM also announced that it has begun shipping the BrightDrop EV600 to FedEx, a commercial delivery vehicle also built on the Ultium platform.
