Pokémon Go announced today a new collaboration event with Ed Sheeran. Starting November 22, trainers will be able to monitor Ed Sheeran's performance in the in-game News.

This is the first time Pokémon Go has created a live-action. Earlier this year, Niantic promoted a festival featuring legendary Pokémon singer Meloetta, which was the brand's highest-grossing weekend, aside from the one-day Kanto Tour event that took place in the first half of the year.
According to a post, Ed Sheeran's special performance will take place between November 22 and November 30. His concert will include songs from =, Ed's new album and many more. The songs that are included:
- “Perfect”
- “Bad Habits”
- “Overpass Graffiti”
- “Thinking Out Loud”
- “First Time”
- “Shivers”
Alongside this show, trainers will be able to find Squirtle in the game wearing sunglasses. Quite some time has passed since Pokémon Go introduced this unique creature, and people who joined the game will finally have the chance to catch it.

Ed always chooses the Water-type Pokémon as his first partner when he starts a Pokémon RPG. To celebrate this partnership, we look forward to an event that will include all the Water-type first-partner Pokémon that are currently available in Pokémon GO!

While it's unclear what this in-game concert will look like, it's odd that Pokémon Go is joining this metaverse experience since Niantic CEO John Hanke has said he's against Facebook's metaverse
