Apple is preparing to announce the iPhone 13 series on September 14. And in this context, the website SellCell conducted a survey to measure the interest of Android users in the upcoming models.

The e-tailer surveyed more than 5,000 US-based Android users aged 18 and over. About 82 percent of respondents are not interested in switching to the iPhone 13. Only 18 percent said they might consider getting the new iPhone.
The site had earlier found that 44 percent of current iPhone users plan to get the iPhone 13.
The new model is not expected to be a major upgrade over the current lineup and will likely offer a new chipset, larger camera sensors, new video capture capabilities, and up to 1TB of storage and a 120Hz refresh rate for the Pro models.
When asked about their lack of interest in the iPhone 13, nearly 32% of Android users said the lack of on-screen Touch ID is a key reason.

Android users also dislike iOS's limited customizability and limitations in general.

12 percent of survey participants believe that Android phones offer better hardware.
About 10.5 percent disagree with the upcoming iCloud Photos that will use cryptographic hashes to detect child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
Less popular reasons for not switching to the iPhone include price (4.5%), preference for Google Assistant over Siri (2.6%), lack of multitasking on a split screen (2.3%), and no foldable model available (0.8%).

Of those considering switching, the majority (51 percent) are influenced by longer software support. While Samsung and OnePlus now promise three operating system upgrades for newer phones, most Android manufacturers offer two updates, and they're often not timely. Apple, on the other hand, supports phones for five to six years.
About 11.4% of Android users also believe that Apple provides better privacy protection. The 6.7-inch iPhone 13 Pro Max and 6.1-inch iPhone 13 appear to be top of users' preferences, while only about 5% have expressed interest in the 5.4-inch iPhone 13 mini.
