In recent months, there have been many rumors about the upcoming iPhone 13, which mention many new interesting features. Now, another very interesting rumor has come to light, which if true, will excite Apple. Kuo speculates that in the future, there could be support for LEO satellite communication from upcoming Apple AR headsets, the Apple Car , and other Internet-of-Things accessories, in addition to the iPhone 13.
Kuo claims that the iPhone 13 will use a customized version of the Qualcomm X60 baseband modem chip. This chip will support satellite communications.
Nothing has been confirmed yet. So we don't know if sending messages and making calls over satellite (and without network coverage) will only work with Apple services like iMessage and FaceTime. It's also unclear if the satellite features will be free, like GPS, or come with associated usage fees.

We currently expect Apple to announce the iPhone 13 series in September. The phones are said to look a lot like the existing iPhone 12 series, but they will feature new features and interesting features. These include upgrades to the camera systems and a high-refresh rate display for the Pro models, and a smaller notch. If new rumors about LEO satellite communication support are true, the iPhone 13 will be even more exciting for users since we are talking about one of the most exciting features that have been announced.
