Changing Netflix password via email
If you've realized you've forgotten your Netflix password or want to change it but you've been logged out of your account, things get a little more difficult.

You can find yourself on the streaming service’s login page, where you can click “Need Help?” below the Sign In and be taken to netflix.com/LoginHelp. (You can also visit this URL at any time to access the Netflix password help page. You don’t always have to go through the login page.)

There, you will be given two ways to reset your password: via email or via text message. Let's first look at the email method.

Enter the email address you used to sign up for your Netflix account, then click the blue “Email Me” at the bottom.

The email may take a few minutes to appear in your inbox, but as soon as you see it, click on it. Inside the email there will be a link that you must click to log into your Netflix account without needing your password.

Once you log in, Netflix will ask you to create a new password. Set any password you want. In case you want to use the same password again, you should be aware that Netflix will not let you do that. Your new password must differ from the old one).

You will then be asked to enter the phone number you have linked to your Netflix account. Once you have entered it, click the blue “Text Me” below your number.

Check your phone. You should receive a text message containing a verification code, which you can enter on Netflix. This code will allow you to reset your password.

What if you forget the email and password associated with your Netflix account?
Can't remember your password or the email address you used to create your Netflix account? There's a solution for that, too.
Go to the service's help center, netflix.com/LoginHelp. At the bottom of the gray box in the middle of the page, click "I don't remember my email or phone." Once you do, Netflix will ask for some additional information related to your account to try to recover it.

Enter the name associated with your account and then the surname. Next, enter the number of the credit/debit card that is linked to your account. If you don't know which card it is, it will be the one that is charged each month for your Netflix subscription. Check your bank statements to find the correct card if you are still unsure.

Once you've entered all of this information, click "Find Account" at the bottom and Netflix will try to locate your account and let you sign in. Once you're back, you'll be able to change your password as well as check account information to see which email address is linked to your Netflix account.

If you have tried all of the steps above and are still having trouble, you may need to contact a Netflix customer service representative for additional assistance. Go to the Netflix Help Center page, scroll to the bottom right, click “CALL US” and you will find the contact information needed to request assistance.
