The American television and radio network “CBS” revealed on January 31 that China has stolen personal data from 80% of US adults. Specifically, the former director of the US National Counterintelligence and Security Center, Bill Evanina, stated in a relevant report that China aims to collect and exploit Americans’ DNA, as well as other health-related information.
In more detail, Evanina described how the Chinese company “BGI Group” had approached six different states with offers to build and operate COVID -19. In addition, the company promised to “make additional donations” to the states.
The former security official warned states not to accept the company’s proposal, as it is suspicious and could be harmful or dangerous. Evanina noted the following: “We issued an advisory not only to every American, but also to hospitals, clubs and clinics. Knowing that BGI is a Chinese company, do we understand where this data is going? It is estimated that the personal data of 80% of US adults has been stolen by China.”
The report details China to acquire and control people's biological data, even to determine the future of healthcare. Notably, China has stated that it aspires to dominate the science and technology.

Additionally, You said that America could soon be dependent on China, not just for personal protective equipment and face masks , but for much more. The agent also asked the following question: “What if we realize that all of our future medicines, our future vaccines, our future healthcare are completely dependent on a foreign source?”
Commenting on the report, Dirk Schrader, global representative of New Net Technologies, said the following: “Recent cybersecurity research on the state of health data protection shows that there is no real need for any foreign government to use advanced hacking methods to gain access to US citizens’ personal health information (PHI). For example, radiology data of approximately six million US citizens was discovered unprotected in late 2019, but this has not been substantially improved a year later. Furthermore, the largest provider that had left its radiology records exposed on the internet without any protectionis owned by a Chinese investor.”
