Videos that were released online yesterday show the next-generation gaming console released by Microsoft overheating and emitting smoke.
Just two days after the release of Microsoft's highly anticipated Xbox Series X, the tech giant has already been forced to tell many gamers not to blow smoke out of their consoles.

Shortly after the next-generation Xbox was released, gamers began uploading videos online showing the new console overheating and emitting smoke, despite the fact that there is a vent on top of it. However, a Twitter account called “Xbox Studio” that appears to be linked to Spain, put an end to the fake news that brought the new Microsoft gaming console emitting smoke due to overheating. Specifically, the account stated in a relevant tweet that the smoke does not come from the console overheating but from smoke that gamers themselves create using an electronic cigarette. It is worth noting, however, that this Twitter account is not an official Xbox account. The Xbox Studio tweet was reposted over 3,400 times.

At the same time, the official Xbox account commented on the incident, sharing a tweet that stated the following: “We can’t believe we have to say this, but please don’t throw smoke at the Xbox Series X.” Aaron Greenberg, head of Xbox marketing, tweeted the following: “Put down the e-cigarette and grab the console.”

Alongside the next-gen Xbox Series X console, the smaller, cheaper and less powerful Xbox Series S. The Series X is available to the public for $500 (£450, AU$749), while the Series S, without a disc drive or capability , is available at a more affordable price – costing around $300 (£250, AU$499). Next up is the highly anticipated PlayStation 5 , which is set to launch today.
