One of the most interesting features of the OnePlus 8 Pro is a color filter lens, which OnePlus said could transform "ordinary scenes into a surreal landscape."

However, this unique featuresparked backlash when users discovered that the camera filter combined with the Photochromaticallowed them to see through plastic objects and thin clothing. OnePlus disabled access to the Photochromatic mode, but restored it in the Oxygen OS 10.5.10 update.
However, as many users have stated, the feature no longer behaves as it used to, as the Photochromatic filter now needs more light to take good photos.
Fortunately, there is still a way to restore the color filter camera function on the OnePlus 8 Pro. As revealed by an XDA member, he discovered that you can get the feature through the ADB app and factory reset.
How to get OnePlus 8 Pro See Through again
To restore the color filter camera on the OnePlus 8 Pro, you will first need to open the Factory Mode app via ADB. Then follow these steps:
- Enable USB debugging on your device.
- Connect your device to a computer and open the command prompt.
- Type “adb devices” and press enter to see if your device is recognized (You will need ADB tools installed on your computer).
- Type “adb shell” and press enter. Then type, “am start -n com.oneplus.factorymode/.camera.manualtest.CameraManualTest” and press enter. This will start Factory Mode on OnePlus 8 Pro.
- Tap on the camera switch icon in the bottom right corner and select the 4th camera filter.
Now, you can use the camera filter feature again, as originally released by OnePlus.
