Apple Airpods 3: Coming in early 2021 : According to Ming-Chi Kuo, the new Airpods 3 will be released in the first half of 2021 , starting the new era of Apple's wireless headphones
AppleInsider a note to investors by Ming-Chi Kuo. While the note mainly refers to sales figures and forecasts, the analyst discusses his thoughts on what the AirPods 3 might be like and their possible date .
Kuo believes that Apple's new headphones will have a " new design type " and will be similar to the previous generation of headphones. The transition to exclusive production of the new headphones will happen in the first half of 2021 - if we're lucky - before Apple's WWDC 2021 conference
In terms of sales volume, Kuo's opinion and his forecast for demand of 93.8 million Airpods for 2020remain unchanged.
For 2021, it predicts that Apple's Airpods orders will increase by 28% year-over- year . This will be partly due to the removal of headphones from the new iPhone 12 packaging , but also the need to replace the previous generation wireless headphones .
As expected, the analyst again reports that there will be delays in shipments of new products and lower demand than expected, with potential risks from a potential US-Chinaor Covid-19.
Additionally, since early 2020 there has been a rumor about the release of "Airpods Pro Lite", which will have a lower price. Of course, nothing is certain so far, since there is no official update from Apple.
In April, Jon Prosser, who often leaks information about the company's products, said that Apple has a new Airpods version ready and "it's going to be released soon."
