Apple 's Face ID now makes life easier with a mask: Apple has released updated versions of iOS 13.5 and iPadOS 13.5. The updates include bug fixes and improvements to make it easier for users, with coronavirus -related features like Face ID and the Exposure Notification API .

The Face ID changes aim to improve facial recognition when wearing a mask and to unlock faster when not identified. This is certainly a feature that will make users' daily lives easier, since wearing a mask is now a necessity.
With the new software, when Face ID fails to recognize you, it will immediately ask for your password, unlike the previous version, which made several attempts before proceeding to enter the password.
The second feature is the much-discussed ExposureNotification API. Apple announced earlier this year that it was partnering with Google to develop this feature, tracking users' contacts to help health experts build apps to help fight COVID-19.

When enabled, exposure notifications allow you to receive notifications when you come into contact with people who have been diagnosed with coronavirus. If you have tested positive yourself, it provides others with this information, anonymously, so they can be notified and protected. You can turn it on in Settings, select Privacy > Health > COVID–19 Exposure Reporting. However, unless you install an authorized public health authority app, the notifications feature will remain disabled. At this time, we are not aware of any other API applications, but since the release of this update, government apps in more than 22 countries have expressed interest in participating.
Updates that include notifications are already available, and you can install them by opening Settings. Find the General and select Software Update.
