Following the tradition of creating a new version of the Kernel every two months, Torvalds has released Linux Kernel 5.6. Starting to present the changes, we must say that kernel 5.6 is the first kernel to contain a solution to the year 2038 problem. This means that now, you can run software with 32-bit architecture beyond January 19, 2038, without having to reset the clock.
Other notable changes include support for WireGuard VPN , Qualcomm, USB4, the Amazon Echo speaker, and NVIDIA 's RTX 2000 series . In addition, version 5.6 also includes a chunk of Zen 3 code to support 19th generation processors.

Some other important changes are:
- Support for VirtualBox Guests
- Intel Virtual Bus support
- Improvements for Logitech devices
- New AMD TEE driver
- AMD Pollock support
- Server-to-server Replication for NFSD
- Experimental F2FS support
- Fixing the overheating issue on Asus laptops with Ryzen processors
Linux kernel 5.7:
Torvalds also announced the start of the Linux Kernel 5.7, which already seems to contain many more changes. One of these changes is that version 5.7 will have AMD zen 3 code. Kernel 5.7 will also support fast-charging for Apple devices and will have better floppy support. It is possible that the new kernel version will also contain mainline support for the new ARM-based Pinebook Pro, which will be released soon with prices starting at $199.
