Coronavirus is one of the most critical issues we have been dealing with in recent days. The Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) has released an online dashboard that tracks the spread of the deadly coronavirus in China and other regions.
The live dashboard draws data from the World Health Organization (WHO) and disease control centers in the U.S. , China, and Europe . The goal is to allow the world to see all confirmed and suspected coronavirus cases , as well as the number of patients and deaths by region . The data is visualized through a real-time geographic information system (GIS)

The coronavirus is believed to have originated in the Chinese city Wuhan . Deaths have surpassed 150, with cases estimated at several thousand, in China alone. The Chinese government has been trying to contain the virus, but cases have also been confirmed in the rest of Asia, Australia, Europe and North America.
As of yesterday, five cases of coronavirus had been confirmed in the United States. However, American doctors are monitoring another 110 people in 26 states in America. People infected with the coronavirus are experiencing pneumonia (fever, cough and shortness of breath).
The online dashboard also receives information from the pages of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the WHO. These sites are constantly updating on new developments regarding the coronavirus and its spread. In addition, maps with the infected areas. Researchers from the University of Oxford, Harvard Medical School and Boston Children's Hospital have also launched a real-time virus tracking site.
The coronavirus was reported to the WHO on December 31. According to Chinese researchers, the disease belongs to the same “family” as the deadly respiratory syndromes SARS and MERS.
For now, the risk to areas outside of China is low.
However, the coronavirus seems to have affected other sectors beyond health . For example, the stock market has fallen , while many technology companies are reporting concerns about the Chinese market and the impact of the coronavirus. Apple said in its first-quarter financial results that the epidemic in China has affected business , as the company works with suppliers in the Wuhan region.
