But while Google is rolling out more and more new features, there is a major bug in the Google Play Store that remains unexplained. The bug in question affects the Play Store's search functionality and doesn't show recently added apps, even when you use the correct keywords.
According to a recent report by Android Authority, the bug prevents you from finding certain apps and games on the Google Play Store. The apps, although officially released, do not appear in search results even when you type in the full name. For example, searching for the game 'Deliver The Duck' only shows related results and not the official app for the game. The game does not appear even if you search with the full title 'Deliver The Duck Water Game'. However, for some strange reason, the game does appear if you search for 'Deliver_The_Duck'.
The bug has been reported by various developers on both the Google Play help forums and Google Tracker.
The cause of the error has not been clarified yet, but it is possible that Google is hiding these search results for its own reasons. However, the fact that you can find the apps by slightly modifying the search keyword leads us to conclude that the issue may be a result of some recent changes to the search algorithm. Although Google has not released an official statement on the matter, a comment on the Issue Tracker reveals that the issue has already been escalated to the development team.
