Microsoft has announced the addition of its digital assistant Cortana to Skype, but in order to use it you will need to allow it to “listen” or “read” your conversations. 
Those who like this idea will benefit from its knowledge, as according to Microsoft it will provide useful information that will be relevant to what you discuss with your contacts.
The digital assistant Cortana is truly excellent. It may have a smaller “age” than Apple's Siri, but it seems to be somewhat smarter. However, as pleasant as the company of Microsoft's smart assistant may be, I'm not sure if I would like it to monitor my conversations.
Cortana: fills the void of a friend
Essentially, the company, with the announcement of the new feature, explicitly stated to us the possibility of eavesdropping through the digital assistant. In a post on the Skype Blog , the application development team announced that Cortana will now be able to be part of your conversations.
You will be able to find it as a contact among your contacts, and thus you can have one-on-one conversations with it when you are bored or when you are alone.
Besides that, the digital assistant will provide helpful remarks and information in your conversations with other contacts. This means it will be able to recommend restaurants, offer movie ratings, and suggest clever responses to impress your friends. According to the announcement, it will be able to help you schedule events or set reminders.
Cortana will be automatically added as a contact to your address list. To be able to join other conversations, simply click on her name. Then it will ask you for permission to allow it access to your conversations and location data of you and your interlocutor.

The fact that it does not monitor you by default, but asks for your permission is good, and it probably comes, in this way, to alleviate concerns about the protection of your private life.

Personally I don't like the idea of Cortana in my Skype conversations and I don't need advice for a better restaurant selection.
