iPhone 7S lost along with its dazzling innovation

Thus, to break the tradition, Apple has bypassed the old iPhone naming series that has existed for almost 10 years. Is the iPhone naming series changing? In the past, Apple had released the iPhone 3, immediately followed by the 3S, then the iPhone 4 and later the 4S. It followed the same process until 2016.

By that logic, the iPhone 8 should have been called the iPhone 7S, but it seems Apple decided to skip an “S” and move on to the next model.iPhoneIs there any logic to Apple’s established naming habit? And if so, why did it change?

Most of Apple's customers, and in general companies that manufacture smartphones, do not buy the device they are interested in directly from the manufacturer, but usually with a contract they enter into with the mobile provider of their choice.

Initially there were and they sold a lot of annual contracts. Gradually the 18‑month ones appeared, as well as the 2‑year ones.

As you can see, it is in the interest of every manufacturer to acquire a new device every year. It is no coincidence that programs such as “New smartphone every year” have been created by both Appleand mobile phone providers.

Let's go back again to Apple, which continues to dominate the space. A space that is highly competitive and fast-paced, with design and manufacturing being carried out in less than a year.

We have spoken before about the innovation introduced by Jobs' first iPhone. A completely different device from those that were released. No keys, unnecessary buttons, just a black touch screen. We could claim that the device caused a technological shock among the geeks of the era.

This year the innovation came with a processor with AI capabilities in its embryonic form, FaceID, and other small and large things that obviously did not cause any technological shock.

Among the innovations is the change, or temporary bypassing of the number series, number S.
In Tim's anguish, but also in that of every Tim, every change is necessary in a world where everything and everyone is running, along with competition.

Aren't you changing the iPhone? I'll be back in half a minute

Ultimately I don't know if the idea of a parallel release of an iPhone 8 and an iPhone X will be profitable for Apple.

H Apple has a specific clientele, which does not buy devices that the mass buys… They will not compromise with the latest super duper Android, and I believe they will not even do it with the iPhone 8.

What will happen? The numbers will speak, and the numbers always speak in favor of innovation.

A very good scenario would be if some Chinese company, with a research team, made a surprise, offering a device that would crush the benchmarks.

Meanwhile, don't look for iPhone 7S, it doesn't exist.
