Apple appears to be preparing a similar sign-on (SSO) button to those of Google and Facebook , which will be called "Sign In With Apple" .
The reason for all these buttons is to eliminate the need to create a new account every time you visit a new site. These buttons allow you to log in with your existing account and later log out if you don't want to continue using the site. As a concept, it's certainly much more convenient than having to have a different password for each different site.
Now Apple is planning to create such a button, as it announced at WDDC 2019 last month. In fact, according to the company, its own tool will share much less data than others.
Apple's new option seems like a good idea, especially in an era of heightened privacy and security . However, the OpenID Foundation has questioned the security of the company's tool.

The OpenID Foundation, which includes members like Google, Microsoft and other companies, develops the OpenID Connect protocol, which serves as the basis for such login buttons. The foundation even sent an open letter to Apple's Craig Federighi, claiming that Apple's implementation of the login button could impact user privacy and security.
OpenID has identified and reported several differences between Apple's SSO button and OpenID Connect. It also states that the button is inspired by OpenID technology but Apple needs to reduce the differences in order to ensure the security of its users.
Apple has been invited to join the OpenID Foundation and use the Self Certification tool to improve the interoperability of its SSO button.
