Doubts about the quality of YouTube automatic suggestions 's are growing. For this reason, the introduction of new features was deemed necessary.
The first is the ability to filter the type of videos that interest the user. One will be able to select a general category of content that they want to watch, as well as the creator they prefer. The same options will be given in the “next” function of the autoplay.

As the algorithm sometimes suggests content seemingly unrelated to the user, the option to select "Non-recommended channel" will also be given. This way, it will not be in YouTube's suggestions, but it will be possible to search for it whenever it wishes. The goal of both cases is essentially to give the user greater control over the suggestions that appear to them at any time.
Suggestions are often made based on what other users with similar interests have watched. Tools will be introduced that will inform the user why specific suggestions each time.

All of the above is being done as an effort by YouTube to combat the ever-growing concerns of users and critics regarding the marginally harmful content being shown. It has been observed that many times the algorithm of recommended videos can lead users to a series of “bad” views in terms of content, both for themselves and for society as a whole.
The hope is that with these changes, similar suggestions will not appear in the recommended content. This does not necessarily mean that there will be changes to the company, but as data based on their choices, it is likely to lead to such changes in the future.
Some of the improvements mentioned are very likely to be introduced in the near future, but for further changes we will have to be a little patient.
