Manjaro Linux 18.0: The Manjaro distribution is based on Arch Linux and its goal is to make things easier for novice Linux users.
Installing Manjaro is simple and can be done in two different ways; with a graphical interface and traditionally through the terminal.
The installer (Calamares) that the distribution uses is very easy to use and very fast.
The distribution is also very fast and its menus respond immediately, but the really special feature and what makes it stand out is that it is a rolling release, always with "fresh" software.
Today, after months of development, Manjaro Linux 18.0 (Manjaro-Illyria 18.0) was released. The new version runs on Linux Kernel 4.19, which will be supported in the long term.
It comes with several fixes to the Pamac package manager and updates to the Manjaro Settings Manager.
The 4.19 LTS kernel is used for this release, as are the latest available drivers to date.
The graphical interface for installing and removing older Kernels has been improved and at the time of release, supports eight kernel series, from the very stable version 3.16 to the latest versions of 4.19.
More information can be found in the official release announcement on the project forum.
