Android developers are justified with the site "Don't Kill My App"

Android developers seem to have struggled with running apps and creating new ones, as the makers of the Android make it difficult to build effective apps.

Most interestingly, a website called “Don’t Kill My App” has been found that clearly shows how difficult the Android ecosystem has become for developers, especially when it comes to background functions. The core of the website’s argument is a set of Android features called “Doze” that attempts to kill resource-heavy background apps in order to improve battery life. For their part, Android manufacturers from Nokia and Samsung will use some other version of Doze instead.

According to Don't Kill My App, Nokia stressed that its "Battery Protection" application has already gotten worse and has killed whitelisted apps. This website has recorded all the companies and rates them in its own way. The more poop icons a company has, the more difficult their apps are for developers. The worst of all is Nokia, with five icons, while OnePlus came in second place with its "Battery Optimization" feature. Xiaomi, Huawei, Meizu and Sony each got three icons. Finally, Samsung has two, while HTC and Stock Android each got one.

Android developers are justified with the site "Don't Kill My App"

The site is aimed at users and developers, and the main goal is to find possible solutions. For example, OnePlus is reversing the “power-saving” settings so that users can avoid Sony’s “stamina-mode” if they want their phones to function properly. On the other hand, developers are still in a difficult position, as the available solutions require the screen to be kept active while the application is running, which reduces the battery life feature.

Best of all, Don't Kill My App still exists, because developers are actually blamed for the negative user experience, as rarely does anyone blame the operating system manufacturer. At least with this site, developers will show the public who is really responsible for the functionality of Android apps.
