Given its lower price, the iPhone XR is the most anticipated iPhone of 2018, with pre-orders starting next week in early markets.
And as it turns out, those looking to buy the device may also have the option to spend a little extra, as Apple is preparing a transparent case for this model that could be released on Friday as well.

The transparent case for the iPhone XR was spotted in an official press release published by Apple. Surprisingly, however, it was not the press release that Apple released globally, but only the one published on the Australian website.
The press release reveals that “ Apple -designed accessories for the iPhone XR, including a clear case, will be available starting at $55,” which leads us to believe that this accessory may only be sold in select markets.
A report published by 9to5mac suggests that Apple's transparent case would look just like a classic transparent case, so there might not be anything special to convince you to buy it. Needless to say, there will be hundreds of such models around the world and especially in China, with prices apparently much lower than Apple's prices.
At this point, a clear case for an iPhone XS costs anywhere from a few dollars up to $100 on sites like eBay.
Apple's new iPhone XR will be available in multiple colors, so it makes sense for the company to release a clear case. This way, the device can be protected and the color can still be seen to distinguish it from the previous generation models.
If it makes any difference, clear cases for the iPhone XR are already available for sale from other retailers and cost almost half of what Apple is going to charge for its own version.
The iPhone XR will start shipping to first customers on October 26. Pricing starts at $749 in the United States, so you could end up spending around $800 if you want the clear case as well.
