Tim Cook: The iPhone X release date is approaching and the issue of limited production is becoming more acute as the units that will be available to buyers in the first few weeks are minimal.
Apple naturally has not reported anything about a possible delay of the iPhone X or about the minimal stock quantity. On the contrary, it is trying by every means to boost consumer enthusiasm towards its new device.
Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, when asked if the iPhone X would offer a limited stock quantity did not give a clear answer, simply stating that the stock will be minimal only during the first days of release.
" iPhone X is a groundbreaking smartphone that will significantly impact the mobile technology market in the coming years. As for the inventory issue, we will see. We promise to work harder to produce as many devices as possible," said Tim Cook.
According to rumors, around November 3 approximately 3 million units will be released. Production of the iPhone X will increase in November, with the peak coming in December-January.
In short, production will align in 2018 setting a new sales record if, of course, consumers have not already been disappointed by the long delay of the release.
Pre‑orders start on Friday and the first units will be shipped on Monday. Pricing starts at $999 for the base model (64GB) and $1,149 for the 256GB model.
