Fappening 2017: Sarah Hyland is the latest victim of hackers, as nude photos of the actress began circulating online earlier this week.
It's still unclear how the photos ended up online, but it's likely the result of hacking. There are reports that the woman posing in the photo is not Sarah Hyland, but someone who looks like her.
On the other hand, Hyland threatened through her representative that she is ready to take legal action against any website or store that publishes the photos.
The leaked data includes not only photos of a woman who looks like Hyland, but also at least one video of a more sexual nature, which is supposedly private.
Removing images that have been posted online is usually impossible because there are several websites that reproduce the content. So someone who wants to remove data will have to constantly deal with issuing legal requests.
The leak took place almost 3 years after the infamous Fappening which included nude photos of many celebrities.
According to the information at the time, the leak came through iCloud, Apple's cloud service. So this time too, there is a possibility that something similar happened to Sarah Hyland.
In some of the images, the actress is using an iPhone to take the photos, which increases the chances that they were saved to iCloud directly from the device.
