Cyber Tech & Law | BITCOIN & other Digital Currencies: A highly interesting conference on the operation, innovation and specific characteristics of the online mode of transactions via Bitcoin and other "digital currencies" took place last week at the Wyndham Grand Athens Hotel.

The 1st conference on Cyber Tech & Law: Bitcoin & other Digital Currencieswas organized by the Law Library and the Economia group, under the auspices of the Hellenic Association of Banks.
During the conference, the opportunities, challenges, and risks that emerge from the use of cryptocurrencies in the modern digital era were thoroughly analyzed. Through a series of interesting presentations and suggestions, as well as constructive dialogue with the audience, a wide range of issues related to the highly widespread cryptocurrency Bitcoin, as well as other digital currencies, were analyzed.
With the participation of "our" Konstantinos Vavousis, in an excellent presentation entitled "Bitcoin: Real Currency or Science Fiction?", a comprehensive approach was attempted to the mode of operation, the special characteristics and the evolutionary course of Bitcoin.
It should also be noted the active participation of Lieutenant General (ret.) of the Hellenic Police, Special Investigator and Expert in Electronic Crimes, Mr. Manolis Sfakianakis in the conference, who put the security of transactions, as well as the ways of acquiring digital currencies, under the microscope, in an extremely interesting presentation.

After the successful holding of the 1st conference "Cyber Tech & Law | BITCOIN & other Digital Currencies", as well as the significant response and attendance , we hope that we will see even more successful initiatives of a similar nature in the future.
