Website iThome has listed some of the specifications of the upcoming Galaxy S8 Mini smartphone that is rumored to be released in South Korea sometime this year.
Samsung's flagship devices, Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, record countless sales but many consider them too large and not at all practical, so the company must release a smaller version.
Finally the time has come for the Samsung Galaxy S8 Mini, whose specifications have leaked online revealing a smaller yet equally powerful 5.3‑inch screen with a conservative design that will make you feel like you're holding a 4.7‑inch phone in your hand.
It will be powered by a Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor combined with 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The camera will be 12 MP with f/1.7, 26 mm and phase‑detection autofocus used in the Samsung Galaxy S8 as well as an iris scanner locking mechanism.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 Mini is expected to launch initially in South Korea, although the exact date has not yet been confirmed.
In other news, Samsung recently confirmed the release of the refurbished Galaxy Note 7 which the company calls “Fan Edition” or simply FE.
The Galaxy Note 7 FE is almost identical internally to the original Galaxy Note 7, which Samsung was forced to recall due to the fire scandal. This time, the version is much safer with a 3,200mAh battery reinforced with multiple safety designs. It will also feature Samsung's virtual assistant, Bixby, which is also found on the Galaxy S8/S8+.
