The iPhone 8 is one of the most talked about and highly anticipated smartphones of the year, so it's no wonder that no one stops talking about it. The latest information that recently leaked online reveals that the iPhone 8 will be significantly larger than its predecessor, the iPhone 7.
The new flagship will have dimensions 143.59 x 70.94 x 7.57 mm, considerably larger than the 138.3 x 67.1 x 7.1 mm of the iPhone 7. This means that the new smartphone will be taller, wider and also thicker than its predecessor, thus allowing the integration of a larger battery whose capacity, of course, has not yet been verified.
Previous reports suggested that the new flagship would be larger than the iPhone 7 but smaller than the iPhone 7 Plus, which has dimensions 158.2 x 77.9 x 7.3 mm . However, the new smartphone will come with a larger OLED display than we expected, given that the physical home button will be completely removed.
Here's something we didn't expect: the iPhone 8 will be larger than the Galaxy S8! All the memes that were circulating about Samsung and its trend of releasing massive phones once they lost their value... Of course it won't manage to surpass the size of the Galaxy S8+, which, as it appears, will be the biggest competitor in this Apple bet.
