Details about the upcoming OnePlus 5 have been surfacing for some time now, and the pace of leaks is not likely to slow down until the device is officially announced this summer. A new report reveals some new specs for the upcoming phone.
The OnePlus 5 will be powered by Qualcomm 's Snapdragon 835 processor, which is what we've seen in many flagships this year. The phone is said to feature 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, although a 128GB variant is also likely to be released.
Additionally, the phone features an Adreno 540 GPU and runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat with OxygenOS. It comes with a 16MP primary and secondary camera, while on the back we will find a dual camera setup in a vertical position, despite the fact that previous reports claimed that it will have a single-lens system.
Although recent rumors spoke of the possibility of a QHD display with 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution, now the new report reveals that this particular model will have a full HD display.
It should be noted that Full HD displays are cheaper than QHD ones, which allows OnePlus to offer a lower price point, thus maintaining OnePlus' tradition of delivering high-performance smartphones at affordable prices. The OnePlus also underwent tests, scoring higher than the Galaxy S8 or Xperia XZ Premium.
The OnePlus 5 will be announced this summer, but the exact date has not been confirmed. Until then, we will definitely have to wait for more details about the new device.
