If you are between 14 and 25 years old and looking for an ideal opportunity to showcase your talent in the protection and security of information systems and networks, the European Cyber Security Challenge 2017 (ECSC '17) opens a new perspective for you. The aim of the competition is to find, attract and highlight a new generation of talents in the field of cybersecurity through a series of demanding tests!

The basic rules of the Panhellenic qualifying competition are as follows:
- The qualifiers of ECSC 2017 are an online CTF (Capture The Flag). You do not need to install a VPN, except for one test. All other parts will be publicly accessible.
- This year the competition will be held online, so you can participate from wherever you are!
- The administrators and creators of the CTF are not allowed to compete in the CTF – they will only have a supportive role.
- The administrators will monitor the CTF through’ the entire duration of the event and will be able to provide support to the players.
- The exchange of “keys”(flags) or solutions among participants is prohibited. This action is subject to disqualification.
- Any attack against systems other than the designated target systems defined for the ECSC CTF qualifiers is strictly prohibited
- Do not prevent others from participating and having fun
- It is your responsibility to keep your password safe and secret.
- You earn points by capturing flags. These flags must be placed in the corresponding locations. If the flag is correct, points are awarded automatically by the system.
- There will be no breakthrough points!
- To earn points, you must first register!
- The winners will represent the Greek participation in the ECSC 2017 finals in Málaga, Spain.
- If you violate the rules there will be a deduction of points or disqualification, depending on the case.
- Tampering with flags or preventing other players from completing a challenge by any means leads to disqualification.
- Ask us… if you are not sure whether any move violates the rules.
- Contact us… if you think you have found a valid key that rejects the system.
- Report it to us… if you find any bug in the system. You can earn extra points!
- ANY ATTACK (physical or electronic) on a company / entity / organization / natural or legal person of any jurisdiction, internal / external, etc. is STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Violators will face the consequences of the law and the organizing bodies bear no responsibility.
- During the competition you must record your steps with screenshots and a brief description, and once you achieve your goals you must send the Report (Proof Of Concept) to an e‑mail that will be provided to you on the day of the competition. The report does not need to be very detailed.
In any case, strict adherence to respect for the code of conduct must be observed: Respect the co‑participants as you would like them to respect you.
