Microsoft is reportedly preparing a big event on May 2, but no one knows the reason, at least for now.
The company sent out press invites today in its usual cryptic manner before a major announcement, but the specific invite below seems to suggest that the upcoming event will focus on education, according to the hashtag caption:
'Learn what's next' and '#MicrosoftEDU'
or in Greek:
“Learn what's next” and the hashtag #MicrosoftEDU
It's been known for some time that Microsoft will hold a major event before its Build conference (which takes place in May), but rumors haven't revealed much about what exactly the company is preparing.
Signs point to some new product announcements at the event, but it's unlikely we'll see the new Surface Pro 5 or Surface Phone, according to ZDNet's Mary Jo Foley.
Microsoft could reveal anything from the next non-Pro Surface, to a convertible tablet or a Surface Book with a 360-degree hinged display, like the Lenovo Yoga.
However, no matter what you read online, no one can say for sure what the company will present at the upcoming event that will take place on May 2nd.
Maybe more information will "leak" later..
