As Apple we is preparing its anniversary iPhone to mark the series' tenth anniversary. Now, new reports are coming to reveal more details about its design. 've reported several times in the past,
First, the new report points out that Apple's anniversary phone will be called the iPhone Edition and not the iPhone 8 as we previously believed. This is the first iPhone with an OLED display, while the other two will retain the IPS LCDs.
The new report is based on the fact that the new iPhone Edition will ditch the home button, a tactic Samsung also followed with its latest flagship, the Galaxy S8. In fact, Apple's new smartphone looks quite similar to the Galaxy S8, which features tiny bezels and a larger screen.
The iPhone Edition features a cleaner design with small top and bottom bezels, a dual-camera setup, and a white back panel. The fingerprint sensor is located at the bottom of the screen, replacing Touch ID.
Now let's talk about the phone's display. It will likely be 5.15 to 5.8 inches, while the smartphone will be 5.8 inches. The display will take up almost the entire front of the phone and will feature wireless charging.
It is worth noting that Apple has already started testing various alternatives for the phone's casing, including glass, aluminum, and a white ceramic chassis. It is claimed that the introduction of an OLED display combined with the powerful features will boost the price of the new iPhone, which is estimated to cost over $1,000. The company is also expected to release a new iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus later this year.
