Now you don't need lessons to learn to ski perfectly. Rossignol ski boots with artificial intelligence can make you excellent!
The ski equipment manufacturer partnered with sports technology company PIQ to place an AI-powered computer – complete with LED display – on a pair of ski boots.
Known as the Rossingol Hero Master, the concept is similar to PIQ's robotic accessory, which attaches to ski boots and analyzes your turns, speed, and other data while you ski. This takes the idea to the next level, with the technology built right into the ski boots.
Instead of sending data to an app on phone , the Hero Master comes with its own LED display so skiers can see real-time stats and other information (it still tracks stats on its own app). The prototype uses built-in sensors and PIQ algorithms that analyze speed, turn angles, and other data.
The idea, of course, is that all this information will help skiers improve their technique. The PIQ technology is powered by an AI called Gaia, which the company says was built with data from thousands of athletes.
The company hasn't shared any pricing or availability details for the Hero Master, which is currently just a prototype, but the product would likely be geared toward pros and enthusiasts rather than casual skiers.
