Google's Pixel smartphones have come to fill the void left by the Samsung Galaxy Note7's explosion. After a promising introduction to the smartphone market, the Google Pixel has hit its first snag as some users complain about poor sound quality at high volumes. When an online post last December highlighted the problem by showing a video using the Perfect Piano app, the online community was outraged.
After Mashable HQ checked, the company admitted the issue, at least when using the specific app. The sound distortion at high volumes was observed when using the Perfect Piano app on the Pixel and two Pixel XL headsets, but there was no corresponding problem with apps like Spotify and Pandora. After Mashable HQ reported it, Google admitted the existence of the problem, but the issue did not end there. Then, in an email that was recently published, the possibility that the error is not in some apps but in the Pixel hardware is real. If this is proven, then the solution will not be a simple software update . Affected users will have to replace their devices with new functional devices. For now, Google denies that there is a hardware problem, but claims that it is working to solve the issue and recommends that users do the obvious, not to use their devices at maximum volume to avoid audio problems!
