Samsung has been making Chromebooks since 2011, but it seems like it's time to introduce something more substantial. The company has introduced two new Chromebooks, the Plus and Pro. This time, they can run any Android app from the Google Play Store, and they'll be the first Chromebooks to come with a stylus.
In fact, the two Chromebooks only differ in their processor and integrated graphics. The Plus uses a custom ARM chip, while the Pro uses a faster Intel Core m3 processor.
The rest of the features are the same:
12.3″ 2400×1600 touchscreen
3:2 aspect ratio
stylus support
32 GB e.MMC storage
720p camera
4GB RAM
8 hours of battery life
1.07kb weight and metal design
Google first added Android support to Chromebooks last September, but it was limited to just a few models.
It would be nice to see more models, as with Android support, and stylus support, tablets will be very useful for taking notes by hand.
The Chromebook Plus will be the first to be released in February and will cost $449. The version of the Chomebook with the Intel processor will be released in the spring and its price will definitely be more expensive.
