For the first time, Dell, a key partner of Microsoft, is presenting its own Surface killer at this year's CES event.
As most of us know, Microsoft in 2012 was the first manufacturing company to bring 2-in-1 computers to the market, and although at the time the idea did not particularly excite the public and manufacturers, more and more people seem to be becoming fans of the product.
Dell's so-called Latitude 5285 appears to work exactly like a Surface while also featuring hardware that sets it apart from Microsoft's devices.
Specifically, the new Latitude 5285 features a 12.3-inch 3:2 aspect ratio display and is powered by an Intel 7th-generation Core processor. In addition, it offers an Intel HD Graphics 620 graphics card, 16GB DDR3 memory, and up to 1TB SSD storage. Some of its additional features are: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB 3.0, LTE, fingerprint sensor, and two battery options of either 31.5 WHr (6300 mAh) or 42 WHr (8400 mAh).
Compared to Surface , the Latitude 5285 falls short in terms of display, as it only supports 1080p, while the Surface Pro 4 has a maximum resolution of 2736×1825 pixels. However, they have the same screen aspect ratio, processors, and storage options. It should also be noted that both are priced at the same price.
Its debut is expected in February 2017, although the exact date has not yet been announced. It should be noted at this point that the keyboard is not included in the price of the device, but the consumer will need to purchase it separately.
