Microsoft has pretty much abandoned the Lumia 520 since the model is out of Windows Phone 8.1 software and the company has no plans to upgrade it to Windows 10 Mobile. But we recently discovered that someone else has set their sights on bringing the old device back to the forefront.
A YouTuber attempted to install Android Nougat 7.1 on a Lumia 520 and it seems to have worked. It's true that an old Windows device doesn't run Android Nougat 7.1 perfectly, but it's proof that it can do it in a pretty decent way.
Of course, you will all wonder how he managed to do this, but unfortunately, the information available at the moment cannot answer the question. The Youtuber stated that it is very difficult to get a Lumia 520 device to run Android Nougat software. He also points out that it is quite unstable, which can lead to malfunctions in phone calls and the camera.
What is certain is that many of you who have a Lumia 520 or even Lumia 950 and 950 XL will want to install Android Nougat if the application method is easy. For now, however, the only installation instructions offered are from the amateur video that we attach below. Without a doubt, it is proof that such a project is possible and can be implemented by each of us without having specialized technical knowledge. All we can do for now is wait until more information on the subject is published by the much-talked about Youtuber.
