FlightGear 2016.4.2 released: FlightGear is an open-source and free flight simulator. It supports a variety of popular platforms and is developed by experienced volunteers from around the world.
The goal of the game for older children is to create a sophisticated and open-ended flight simulator framework for use in research or an academic environment, for pilot training, or as a tool for the aviation industry.
FlightGear Project developers announced the next version of FlightGear for 2016
"The FlightGear development team is delighted to announce the v2016.4 "Zürich" release of FlightGear, the free, open-source flight simulator. This new version contains many exciting new features, enhancements and bugfixes. Highlights in this release include C++11 support, support for airport data files within scenery folders, a highly-detailed Space Shuttle model and much more."
