New tests conducted by security institute AV-TEST in August show us the effectiveness of today's antiviruses. Below we will see the official results in the performance of business programs.
It is important to note that AV-TEST evaluates antiviruses with three tests that focus on protection, performance and usability.
As expected, the companies that took the top spots in the business environment were Bitdefender and Kaspersky.
Two security products from Bitdefender and Kaspersky for their Windows 7 business solutions scored 6 out of 6 points in each of the three tests, reaching a total of 18 points. Trend Micro followed with 6 points for protection and usability and 5.5 points for performance.
Symantec's business solutions received 6 points for protection, 5 points for performance, and 6 for usability, while AVG received 5.5 points in each test in AV-TEST's tests.
If you're looking for Microsoft products, don't. Redmond's security products are not encouraging.
Specifically, Microsoft only got 3.5 points for protection, which means malware can party, but on the other hand it got 5 points for performance, and 5.5 for usability.
