Israeli police on Thursday arrested two 18-year-olds, Itay Uri and Yarden Bidani, as the owners of vDos, a service that carried out DDoS attacks for a fee.
The latest DDoS attack by the vDos service targeted the website of journalist Brian Krebs. The journalist reported that some of the packets had an embedded message that read “GoDieFaggot.” Krebs wrote that the attacks initially reached 20 Gbps, then increased to 128 Gbps, and peaked at 140 Gbps.
The Israeli newspaper, Haaretz, claims the two were arrested by the FBI, a fact that Krebs confirmed, saying that the two were indeed the target of an FBI investigation.
The two arrested used aliases and were known as Itay Uri as P1st and Yarden Bidani as AppleJ4ck.
The vDos website is down since Friday.
