0 Raul Murillo Diaz, 30, of Oakland, California, pleaded guilty to the attacks on Google's headquarters in Mountain View and to two other attacks on two of the company's self-driving vehicles in two separate incidents.
Officers arrested Diaz on June 30 when they stopped him near Google headquarters. When officers searched his car, they found a .22 caliber handgun in plain sight, as well as a cylindrical object with wires that they said was a pipe bomb.
Counter-terrorism officers later announced that the bomb was not operational.
The Mountain View Police Department is also charging Diaz with a May 19 incident, when a masked man dumped two Blue Moon beer bottles filled with gasoline in a Mountain View parking lot belonging to Google's headquarters on Salado Drive.
Surveillance video shows the perpetrator at 10:52 p.m. throwing a bottle that broke on the ground near the car, and another that landed on the hood of the car but did not break. The perpetrator picked up the second bottle and broke it on the ground, on the right side of the back seat of the car.
The car later burst into flames.
Diaz also admitted to a second incident that took place on June 4 at approximately 10:30 p.m., when a masked man fired several bullets into the windows of Google's offices on Garcia Avenue. Footage shows glass shattered, but no one was injured.
On June 10, at approximately 1:54 a.m., Google also reported to police that a masked man set fire to a self-driving vehicle at the company's building on Alta Avenue.
The video shows the suspect spraying the car with a liquid and then setting it on fire. The car was completely destroyed.
Diaz told officers he felt like Google was tracking him and collecting data about him.
