Refresh Windows Tool: Microsoft has already announced a new solution that will allow users to perform a clean installation of Windows 10 in case they want to start from scratch.
As it appears the new tool is already available for download.
The company hasn't officially announced it, but the download link is circulating online and it seems Microsoft has no intention of removing it.
What we should emphasize, however, is that the application only works with Redstone builds, so if you want to use it on a computer running a "stable" version of Windows 10, it will not run.
The tool is called “Refresh Windows Tool” and was designed as a guide that will guide you through the entire process of refreshing your operating system.
It works just like the built-in Windows refresh feature and allows you to keep your personal files.
At this time, we don't know Microsoft's plans for the new utility as it hasn't officially announced it. The company's previous announcement about the upcoming product was as follows:
“Hey Windows Insiders! Want a simple and easy way to start fresh with a clean install of Windows? Looking for an easy way to do it? We’re working on a tool to make it possible.”
“Final testing and validation is underway, and we’d love your feedback once it’s ready and released! Stay tuned for more information as we put the finishing touches on it. And as always, thank you for being a Windows Insider!”
Since the app is already available for download, Microsoft has likely started the public testing phase, so we'll probably see some official announcement on the matter soon.
